Congratulations to the winners of our Writing Contest!
1st prize – Alyson Mace-Reardon from CEGEP Champlain St. Lawrence for her short
story The Price of Peace.
2nd prize – Kevin Jetté from CEGEP Limoilou for his short story Dream.
3rd prize – Arnaud Hamelin from CEGEP Champlain St. Lawrence for his essay Tolerance Must End.
The prizes, worth $1000 in all, were handed out by authors and contest judges Rick
Salutin and David Homel, who respectively awarded the 1st and 3rd prizes. Paul Almond, Honorary President of the ImagiNation 2012: Writers’ Festival, handed out the 2nd prize.
Open to CEGEP students, 30 entries on issues such as intercultural dialogue, tolerance and various types of discrimination were submitted.
