Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial developed by African and Native slaves over 400 years ago as a means of fighting their oppressors. A short video presentation will be followed by a demonstration, and a workshop, in which the audience will be able to play the instruments, ask questions and learn some basic movements.
